About LEO Command Boards
Built by law enforcement and fire professionals who have spent careers managing critical incidents — and knew there had to be a better way.
LEO Command Boards were created by active law enforcement and fire service professionals who spent decades managing real critical incidents. They knew that first-responding field supervisors needed a better tactical tool — one that could guide decision-making, document activity, and coordinate resources from the moment they arrived on scene.
The result is a NIMS-compliant, field-tested command board system now trusted by 500+ agencies across the United States and Canada — from LAPD to US Space Force.
"By using the L.E.O. Command Board, you will be able to respond to a critical incident with confidence."
— Brian Lafferty, Founder
Brian is an active, sworn law enforcement field supervisor with one of the largest police departments in the United States. After 30 years in the field, he knew there had to be a more efficient and effective way to organize first responders when they arrive on scene of an unfolding critical incident.
Field supervisors are expected to establish command and control, communicate effectively, coordinate resources, and direct personnel into strategic positions — all with the goal of achieving a successful resolution. Brian applied his decades of experience to create the LEO Command Board.
Our mobile command post boards act as a guide for field supervisors, assisting them in decision-making, documenting, and planning every response. Effective, easy to use, and compact enough to fit in any vehicle.
Recently retired from the Los Angeles City Fire Department as an Assistant Chief, Corey holds a Master's Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology with an emphasis in Leadership and a Bachelor's Degree in Emergency Management. He is a graduate of the LAFD Leadership Academy.
Corey served as an Incident Commander for a LAFD Incident Management Team, Task Force Leader, Planning Section Chief, and Operations Section Chief for a Federal Incident Management Team. His guiding principle: "Organize early, and establish an organization that fits the needs of the incident."
This philosophy drove him to create the Fire Board — a board containing all the details of a 201 and the critical aspects that need to be evaluated from the initial action phase of any incident.
